My Story

Christopher M. Sperring, Esq. is an attorney serving Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Berks, Chester, and Delaware counties. He is a first-generation college graduate who grew up and has lived most of his life in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Christopher’s background provides him a unique perspective on how important day-to-day business operations are to the lives and livelihoods of the owners and their employees. He understands that the smallest interruption can make it difficult for the business to pay its bills, meet payroll, or even threaten the existence of the business. Whether a business interruption is caused by a customer failing to pay or a vendor delivering faulty goods, Christopher takes a “big picture” approach that includes counsel on not only the legal aspects of your matter, but how the legal effects may impact your day-to-day business and life.

Christopher’s practice primarily focuses on general business litigation, real estate, and construction litigation. He has several notable successes, such as winning summary judgment for a client in a six-figure collections lawsuit. Christopher has further appeared in the Pennsylvania Appellate Court and vacated an unfavorable trial court order against his client in a landlord-tenant dispute. He has also successfully achieved a result for a client in a fair debt collection claim in federal court. Christopher also overcame objections to a complaint he filed against an airport despite several decades of case law stating the airport could not be sued because it was merely an “asset” of the local government.

When not in court, Christopher negotiates and drafts employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, strategic partnerships, and provides general legal counsel for corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships. Christopher also assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, including a client's recent multi-million-dollar acquisition of a foreign business.

Outside of the office, Christopher is an avid amateur historian. He is the Treasurer of the Historical Society of Montgomery County and previously served as its First Vice President. He enjoys hiking with his wife Hannah and dog Mosley. His favorite places are national parks and national historic sites, especially Civil War battlefields. His litigation philosophy can be summed up by one of his favorite quotes from Ulysses S. Grant: "The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, as often as you can, and keep moving on."
